Elegant and sculptural "Tobio" dining table designed by the celebrated Italian duo Tobia and Afra Scarpa. This iconic postmodern design features a cylindrical pedestal base fully wrapped in rich cognac saddle leather with beautifully stitched panel details and a dark metal trim at the top edge.
The pedestal contains integrated internal weights, giving the table excellent stability and balance despite its minimal architectural appearance. Combined with the large floating glass top with softly rounded corners, the design achieves a striking visual lightness while remaining highly functional and generous in surface area.
The current glass tabletop is a later replacement and not the original, making it straightforward to replace or customize to another shape or finish if desired.
A timeless Italian design piece that works beautifully in both modern and vintage-inspired interiors.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with normal signs of age and use. The leather base presents beautifully with a warm cognac patina and visible stitching detail in excellent shape. The glass top is a later replacement and shows light traces of use consistent with age.
