Original Expo 58 Folding Walking Stick Seat

Rare and highly collectible original Expo 58 folding walking stick seat, produced as a souvenir or practical accessory for visitors to the 1958 Brussels Universal and International Exhibition.

This unusual piece combines a walking stick with a folding tripod seat. The red-painted tubular metal construction folds neatly together for carrying, while the curved handle gives it the appearance and function of a walking cane.

The round black seat retains its original yellow Expo 58 graphic, featuring the famous star-and-globe emblem, the Atomium silhouette and the inscriptions “Exposition Universelle et Internationale – Brussel 58 / Bruxelles.”

A fantastic piece of authentic Expo 58 memorabilia and a particularly decorative example of 1950s Belgian design.
