Louis Kalff

Dutch designer and architect (1897-1976) who joined Philips in 1925 and became its General Art Director. Kalff shaped everything from the Philips shield logo to radios, loudspeakers and the Philishave. His lighting, including the NB series and the Z-lamp, pairs brass, opaline glass and space-age geometry. He also co-created the Philips Pavilion with Le Corbusier and Eindhoven's Evoluon.
