Vintage Executive Desk by Behr – Model 5005 – Germany, 1970s
Impressive vintage executive desk by German furniture manufacturer Behr, model 5005, dating from the 1970s.
Part of Behr’s distinctive 5005 office furniture collection, this substantial desk combines German modernist design with exceptional functionality and striking architectural details.
The large rectangular desktop features a beautiful warm wood veneer and appears to float above two substantial drawer pedestals, supported by cylindrical brushed metal spacers.
Both pedestals are equipped with three spacious drawers, offering six drawers in total. The characteristic metal corner fittings, minimalist drawer handles and cylindrical metal feet give the desk its distinctive industrial-modernist appearance.
The original Behr 5005 catalogue illustrates this furniture collection in a sophisticated executive office setting, highlighting its architectural character and timeless appeal.
A remarkable example of vintage German office furniture, perfectly suited for a design-conscious home office, executive workspace or contemporary interior.
