Original vintage Belgian poster from 1958, created for Germinal – De Mens en het Socialisme at the legendary Expo 58 in Brussels.
The poster features a striking modernist composition combining the Expo 58 star, an abstract human figure and an architectural illustration of the Germinal pavilion. The strong use of black, red, yellow and blue gives the work a distinctly graphic, avant-garde character typical of late-1950s design.
The poster is signed in print A. Evraert and was printed by Offsetdrukkerij Excelsior, Antwerpen.
A particularly interesting piece of Belgian Expo 58 history, combining architecture, political and social history, and mid-century graphic design. Its bold typography and geometric composition make it highly decorative in a modern interior.
