Striking industrial floor speaker featuring a large metal horn mounted on an adjustable stand. This type of horn loudspeaker was typically used in factories, train stations, workshops or public announcement systems during the mid-20th century. The raw industrial look, large acoustic horn and mechanical construction make it a very decorative statement piece for loft interiors, galleries, bars or industrial themed spaces.
The horn is finished in a textured metallic coating with a black interior and mounted on a metal support arm. The white tubular base provides stability and gives the piece a sculptural presence. The body is marked “GRAMPIAN”, a British manufacturer known for professional audio equipment and horn loudspeakers.
Because of its unique design, this piece works both as a decorative object or as a restoration project for collectors of vintage audio equipment.
Condition
Good vintage condition with visible wear consistent with age and industrial use. The cable is currently not connected and would require rewiring if intended for functional use.
