Impressive and highly decorative Baroque Revival bedroom set, consisting of a large double bed and two matching bedside tables. The set is executed in richly finished dark wood and features exceptionally elaborate carved decoration throughout.
The monumental headboard is the centerpiece of the set, with deep floral and foliate carvings, scrolling Rococo-inspired ornamentation and a large central cartouche. The equally impressive footboard continues the design with extensive openwork carving, roses, acanthus motifs and substantial carved legs.
Both matching nightstands feature the same sculptural decoration, curved fronts and two practical drawers each. Together, the three pieces create a dramatic statement bedroom set with a luxurious palatial appearance.
