A substantial and decorative Art Nouveau glazed ceramic jardiniere, showcasing the characteristic ornamental richness of the period. This impressive planter combines bold relief decoration with a refined multi-tone glaze palette, making it a striking centrepiece for any interior setting.
The body features a ribbed lower section in deep cobalt blue, transitioning into a band of boldly modelled acanthus leaves rendered in olive green and amber tones. The collar is decorated with a repeat floral and geometric panel design in blue and rich amber brown. The form is rounded and substantial with a wide stable base, typical of high-quality European ceramic production from the late 19th to early 20th century.
An excellent example of Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau ceramic craft, ideal for display as a planter or purely as a decorative object.
