Iconic Maralunga lounge chair designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1973. The Maralunga is one of the most celebrated Italian seating designs and won the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award. It is known for its innovative adjustable backrest system and exceptional comfort.
The backrest can be folded up or down thanks to the patented internal mechanism, allowing two seating positions: a relaxed low-back lounge position or a higher supportive backrest.
This piece is upholstered in warm cognac leather that has developed a beautiful vintage patina over time. The generous cushions, sculptural armrests and soft proportions give the chair its unmistakable Maralunga character.
Perfect as a statement lounge chair in a living room, office or reading corner.
Condition
Good vintage condition with clear signs of use and patina consistent with age. The leather shows wear, creasing and some darker areas from use, visible in the photos. Structurally solid and very comfortable.
